A Welcoming City

Dublin is packed with culture, creativity and good craic (fun). People are friendly and helpful, whether you meet them in one of our many pubs, on the street or at the Futureland event.

Straddling the River Liffey, Dublin has some fantastic historical gems such as Trinity College Dublin, Christ Church Cathedral, St Patrick’s Cathedral and Dublin Castle to name but a few. There are theatres and museums to visit, and Phoenix Park is Europe’s largest enclosed urban park. Dublin is filled with landmarks built by some of the greatest architects and designers including Sir Christopher Wren, Inigo Jones and Santiago Calatrava.

When you tire of the city, head out to the UNESCO Biosphere of Dublin Bay. Here, you can find plenty of coastal walks, little villages, wide sea views and rugged mountain backdrops. Why not spend some time in the Dublin mountains hiking, rock-climbing in Dalkey Quarry, walking the cliff path at Howth or bravely joining some tough Dubliners and sea-swim whatever the weather.

Dublin is full of top-grade restaurants and eateries serving delicious food. Those who love shopping are catered for with plenty of shops, both mainstream and designer. Walk along Grafton Street or Henry Street and shop til you drop!

There’s always a new adventure awaiting you in Dublin.
