The Emerald Isle gets its name from the verdant green landscapes which please the eye and soul. Watered by Atlantic rains but full of life, Ireland has to be experienced to be believed. From the wind-cut jagged rocks to the lush rolling fields, from the iconic sights such as the Cliffs of Moher to the craic in our pubs, Ireland is unforgettable.

Why not stay on after Futureland to sample more of what Ireland can offer?

Go hiking in the mountains of Wicklow, or head west to take in sweeping Atlantic views. Sail in some of our magnificent loughs (lakes), or take a boat across to the Skellig Islands off the Kerry coast. Head north to Newgrange and marvel at a mysterious neolithic structure that is older than the Giza Pyramids.

There is more to Ireland than just stunning vistas, of course. Learn about Gaelic culture and customs – visit a living-history museum (Glencolmcille Folk Village in County Donegal). Dance to your own beat with a dance class and create your own Riverdance moment. Head to a traditional pub to hear Irish folk music or to an Irish music festival. There are plenty of walking and guided tours around the country, catering to almost every whim and fancy.

Then, there’s the food and drink. One can’t come to Ireland without trying the Guinness. Taste the ‘black stuff’ at the Guinness Storehouse and marvel at the 360 degree view of Dublin at the top. For whiskey lovers, head over to Galway for the country’s oldest distillery. St Patrick’s Day happens one week after Futureland, but don’t be fooled – it is a 5-day celebration of excess. (Bear in mind that hotel prices are also through the roof during this time).

What are you waiting for? There’s a whole world of wonder waiting to be discovered.
